BLHS Scholarship Fund
The BLHS scholarship fund has been in existence since 2000 and was created for students of Black Loyalist descent.
It is awarded annually to students who are entering or are currently enrolled in a post secondary educational institution. Personal character, financial need, scholastic ability and leadership in extra curricular activities are all considered when awarding the scholarship. All applicants must provide a transcript of their most recent school report grades – an average of 70 must be attained. All applicants must provide proof of registration along with a copy of their acceptance letter to a recognized post secondary institution.
The scholarship amounts awarded fluctuate according to the number of donations received and the amount of revenue generated from fund-raising efforts in any given year.
